Back in April, Pixels, a two-minute short which showed New York being attacked by characters from Space Invaders, Frogger, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Tetris (yeah, I know Tetris doesn't have "characters"), and other video games, made its way around the web.
It was awesome. Even the credits rocked.
For the three of you who might not have seen it, here it is:
Last week, it was announced that Adam Sandler's production company, Happy Madison Productions, is developing Pixels into a feature-length film with its creator, Patrick Jean.
Even though there's currently no plot, no script, no actors, and no director, I'm excited about this project. In the right hands, a movie about video game characters coming to life and destroying a city could be quite funny, especially if Adam Sandler doesn't actually appear in the flick.
Regardless, it's got to be better than Cloverfield.
